Early on the Search scene launched in 1998, but late on the take-up. In 2004 MSN Search released their new search technology. MSN have advertised their new search technology on TV, Radio and lots of other mediums.

With an estimated 12-18% market share MSN Search is proving more popular than ever.

The MSN Search bot is unique to MSN as they provide information solely for the use in the MSN index.

Submissions

MSN have a standard submissions page to prompt their MSN bot to come to your web site and index it.

Advertising

MSN appear to have their own advertising centre ‘adCenter’, but adCenter does not support anything but IE 6+.

Email

Although MSN Search do not provide email facilities, there is the famous HoTMaiL provided by Microsoft®.

Maps

MSN do not provide a maps service.

News

MSN are linked with NBC for their news and have a web crawler called NEWSBOT that provides the portal with news.
